About Me.

Hello, I’m Harry. After I graduated in Fine Art from Newcastle University in the summer of 2018 I moved back home to Northwich, Cheshire and began to apply for jobs in the auction sector. In November 2018 I began working at Go Auction.

Go Auction is an auction software company offering website and back office solutions to antique auction houses. This job allowed me to travel and see how over twenty auctioneers function and run their sales. This unique opportunity has meant that I have been able to gather a lot of knowledge about the sector in a very short space of time.

In November 2020 I joined the team at Wilson55 in Nantwich as a valuer. I was there for three and a half years, learning the ropes, cataloguing items as well as conducting house visits and trying my hand at auctioneering.

Currently, I am at Anderson & Garland in Newcastle upon Tyne, returning to the city after a six year absence. Here I am a genraly valuer, cataloguing furniture, pictures, collectables and all manner of items.

This website has been created to give potential clients impartial guidance about the entire auction process, giving them the confidence to both buy and sell at auction. The auction guide and blogs aim to provide you with the information needed to demystify the entire process.
